E-Venture: What It Is
Social E-Venture 101 will help you and your classmates look for creative ideas to solve the the grand challenges that affect humankind. The world is a mess right now, and it's the young, creative, innovative mind that will save it.
So what is an e-venture exactly? An e-venture is a challenge that uses the power of the Internet to find solutions. We are living in a remarkable age, no doubt the turning point in the history of humankind. Think about this: Almost anyone can learn almost anything for almost nothing. That has never been the case in our time on this planet. Knowledge is power, and knowledge has always been hard to access, either because of its limited outlets or its expense.
The Internet has changed all of that. Almost all human knowledge is on the net. For free! You can read, watch, listen, and even interact with almost any topic that you can imagine.

Social E-venture 101
You will notice that this e-venture is social. You will share your thoughts and solutions on various social networks. You will meet and collaborate in online meetings. This project is the 101 version because it's a crash course, meaning that you won't have a lot of time, but your exposure to the grand challenge should lead to a life-long appreciation and exporation of the topic.
Each E-Venture has four objectives.

Collaborate
Collaborate with other E-Venturers and work on a solution together. Build on the work of past E-Venturers, and, in effect, collaborate with them. Using Edmodo, Twitter, or other tools, take the ideas of others and put them together an create a solution.
